Even If…

Do you still believe that God is sovereign even if He doesn’t save you from what you think He should?

When Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were thrown into the furnace because they chose to honor God, they never lost faith.

Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego replied to him, “King Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter. If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us from Your Majesty’s hand. But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.”

Daniel 3:16-18

God’s plan is far greater than anything we could ever imagine, and it is not up to us to know the future. Even if He doesn’t save you from what you’re going through, your story will end in glory if you trust Him.

Sometimes, instead of taking you out from the furnace you’re in, God is there to hold your hand through the whole thing so you come out stronger than before.

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Isaiah 41:10

Instead of asking God to deliver you from what you’re going through, ask Him to hold your hand through it. When you accepted Jesus, God sent the holy Spirit to live inside of you. That means that whatever you’re going through, He has already been there the whole time. Let that be enough for you.
